FEAS participated at the Next Generation Forum Frankfurt, Germany

A group of 8 students of Faculty from Banking & Finance and Economics Departments of Epoka University participated at the Next Generation Forum, on May 24-26, 2013 held in Frankfurt Germany, among whom the Ms. Adeilda Spaho, Ms.  Aleda Kushta, Ms. Iris Kruja, Ms.  Jonada Tafa, Ms. Livia Nikolla, Ms. Mimi Hoxha, Ms. Riada Berhani and Ms. Sidita Rreshketa.

The event was organized by a group of students of Goethe University in Frankfurt, with the main topic “Facing Opportunities, Managing Risks” It took place for the first time last year, May 2012.

There were present students from all over the world and well-known universities, like: Bocconi University, Jacobs University etc..

During this forum student discussed current economical issues with academics and global leaders such as Dr. Wolf Klinz (MEP, Chairman CRIS), Marting Blessing (CEO of Commerz-bank AG), Prof. Dr. Hans-Olaf Henkel (Ex-CEO of IBM Europe, Middle East and Africa and an active member of Amnesty International), Dr.Michael Gottgens (Managing Partner Deloitte & Touche ), Frank Mattern (Managing Partner McKinsey & Company), Christian Ricken (Chief Operating Officer Deutsche Bank), Johannes Kindler (Senior Advisor, of court Bird&Bird LLP), Hans-Jörg Naumer (Global Head Research Allianz Global Investors), etc ,. Some of the Toipc discussed were: A better future of the Europe, Bank Regulations and handling systematic risk, Globalization and its impact, Leadership, Start up Risk, Financial Repression, etc,.

Second day of the forum was totally dedicated to the students, as they were going to be the speakers, by participating in the workshops organized.

Among a variety of workshop topics our students participated in the following topics:  Financial Repression: Silent Deleveraging, What It Takes to Become and Be a Leader of the 21th Century and Business Plan Pitch. There students had the opportunity to have their say and discuss with each, as well as with the moderators.

At the end each participant was awarded with a certificate of participation.

Besides these, Next Generation Forum team held different social activities such as Gala Dinner during the first day, Business Lunch and Dinner Party during the second day and a Boat Trip and City tour were organized during the last.

These kinds of events give students the opportunity to expand their knowledge, share their ideas and create a multicultural networking. For these reasons, we encourage our students to participate in these kinds of events.
