Dean and Vice- Dean of Faculty participated at ICABE 2013

Faculty Academicians participated at International Conference on Applied Business and Economics, ICABE 2013 which was held on October 2nd to Friday, October 4th, 2013 at the City University of New York, Manhattan, 10th Av at 58th Str., John Jay College of Criminal Justice. The ICABE 2013 was co-sponsored by the Center for International Human Rights  of John Jay College of Criminal Justice, CUNY and was the gathering place for academics and professionals from related fields from all over the world. The main goal of the ICABE 2013 was to provide an opportunity for academics and professionals from a variety of fields to meet and exchange ideas and expertise. An additional goal of the ICABE was to provide a place for academics and professionals with inter-disciplinary interests related to business-economics to interact with members within and outside their own particular disciplines.

The ICABE 2013 main theme was “The Role of Financial Accountability and Transparency in Economic Activities” aiming to address the issues that arise from financial speculation and limited disclosure to the built up of a Financial and Economic crisis."

Epoka University academicians participated in many sections by presenting their papers, focused on issues related to the Albanian economy; such as “Microfinance in Transition: Albanian case”, presented by, Prof. Dr. Güngör Turan. “The Use of Managerial Accounting as a Tool for Decision Making by Manufacturing Companies in Albania” presented by Assist. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Üç. Epoka University academicians shared different ideas, making valuable suggestions to other participants from all over the world.

This was an important alternative to present Albanian economic challenges and having the chance to get connections with other professors and important personalities during these days. Epoka University was very well represented during the proceeding event.
