Faculty representatives at the Paris International Model United Nations (PIMUN), France

A group of 8 students of Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences participated at the Paris International Model United Nations (PIMUN), on May 31 to June 2, 2013 held in Paris, France and represented the Epoka University by their assigned countries, among whom the Ms. Denisa Dedej, Ms. Dea Dhima, Ms.  Arvjola Gjyrezi, Ms. Evlia Hysa, Ms.  Prishila Macaj, Ms.  Junis Tafilica, Mr. Fatih Aydemir.

For the second time this year, six of the most prestigious French universities – Sciences Po, Panthéon-Assas, Panthéon-Sorbonne, Ecole Polytechnique, ILERI and the American University of Paris – have decided to join forces to organize a large-scale Model United Nations (MUN) conference in Paris; Paris International Model United Nations (PIMUN) is a prestigious program of EpaNU endowments fund, made up of volunteers and dynamic students ready to make Paris a place where students can debate global governance and contemporary issues.


With 600 international students attended the conference from all over the world. PIMUN lasted three days, first two days were held in Sciences PO University and third day was at the UNESCO headquarters in Paris. Delegates that participated in the conference had the chance to simulate the role of national officials at the UN or other international organizations and defend the interests of the countries they represent. At PIMUN, young diplomats and experts-to-be confronted with the difficult enterprise of international negotiations and experienced the complexities inherent to the formation of global policies. Split into different committees, delegates were able to discuss and share their views as they try to propose solutions to some of the most complex issues that international community is facing today.
